Danny Kruger Speaks Courageously to An Almost Empty House Of Commons

I strongly commend to you this video of MP Danny Kruger speaking last week on the importance of Christianity to politics. It has already had over 1 million views!

As Geoff Thomas said in his regular newsletter, “He was speaking in a virtually empty House of Commons chamber but many are now hearing his speech and recognising the need for a real reconsideration of the claims of Christ. I listened to it with growing appreciation and admiration. He has an Anglican ecclesiology and that comes through in a single sentence but the rest of his speech, and the confidence and authority with which he spoke was very moving, He is one with us, saying, “Our democracy is founded on Christian faith,” and went on referring to the immoral votes of MP to authorise “the killing of unborn children, of nine-month old babies” and to “allow the killing of the elderly and disabled,” describing these votes as “a great sin.”

“He spoke about how Christianity has deeply influenced many of the values Britain still holds dear, contrasting it with the atheistic secularism we began to embrace in the twentieth century. His speech is arguably the most articulate and outspoken apologetic for Christianity that Parliament has seen and heard for many years and it is worth watching in full, i.e. ten minutes. I can say that it stirred me. I thank God for this man of whom I have known nothing hitherto. If we seem for someone else to sympathize with our message it is him. We give thanks to God for such a public witness, but in a virtually empty House.”
