“Thank you, David, for a measured and wise appraisal of the situation. One of the problems is that we are, in the UK, in such a low place spiritually that we grab hold of anything that might indicate that things are not really as bad as we think they are, or that things are ‘turning a corner’. I welcome any and every indication of some growth or renewed interest in genuinely spiritual matters, but to call it ‘revival’ is erroneous and especially so when a lot of this supposed growth is seen in a non-Christian church like Roman Catholicism.”
