Over the years I have been privileged to acquire in various ways a small collection of wonderful, really old Bibles and detailed Commentaries which are absolute treasures They date from the 18th and 19th centuries and include The Self-Interpreting Bible by Rev John Brown of Haddington. I am including them in the display that will accompany my new seminar The Book of Books.

It occurs to me that some of my faithful friends and supporters might have really old copies of the Scriptures that they might be willing to pass on to me, or at least trust me to look after for an indefinite period of time. I’m not looking for family heirlooms or especially valuable copies, but if you have an old Bible in a cupboard somewhere that would appreciate a good home and being used as an exhibit to encourage appreciation of the Scriptures I would love to hear from you. I am not in a position, unfortunately, to spend lots of money on these but would be able and willing to cover the costs of getting them to me.
