Today is the 94th birthday of a man who has for years been one of my spiritual heroes and who, in more recent days, has become a very dear personal friend. Iain Murray is, in my personal opinion, the Church’s foremost historian of our day, especially in the sphere of biographical works. As one writer says, his works are multitudinous and even now he is still hard at work on new volumes. If ever Psalm 92:14 applied to someone it was to him: “They still  bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green.”
