In the light of the devastating news about Steve Lawson – a man I got to know quite well, with whom I enjoyed some warm personal fellowship, and whose bold preaching richly blessed my heart – I simply have three comments to make:
1. Men will often fail – God will never fail.
2. There are no great men – only a great God.
3. There but for the grace of God go I.

Too true John. Our feet are all formed from the same fallen clay. I too have enjoyed the ministry of Steven Lawson. His church did the right thing in exposing his fault and did not try to cover it up. Let us hope they will “finish the job” by working on a reconciliation.
